WITH THE HELP OF THE ESTONIAN-NORWEGIAN COOPERATION PROJECT GREEN ICT, CHEMI-PHARM'S PRODUCTION PROCESS WILL BE MORE EFFICIENT AND THERE WILL BE A REMARKABLE INCREASE OF UNITS PRODUCED WITHIN THE SAME WORKING HOURS

According to Andres Oltjer, the demand for Chemi-Pharm's products has grown so much that it is time to start expanding the plant. "In addition to investing in technology, we need to make a big investment in expanding the plant," he says in an interview with the Industry News.

When it comes to equipment and production lines, Chemi-Pharm usually talks about rapid technological development. It is rumored that you have just started with a Norwegian project. What exactly is it? What does this change for the company now? How much did you invest?

Let's start with the Norwegian project. It started only in July 2020 and is an Estonian-Norwegian cooperation program Green ICT, funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism and mediated by Enterprise Estonia. This is a support-project called "Improving the production of disinfectants through full automation".
As a result of this project, the efficiency of the disinfectant production process will increase, so that it would be possible to output more production with the same volume of working hours and at the same time make production more energy-efficient. Full automation will be carried out, for which new equipment will be procured.

Thanks to the introduction of new technology and equipment, automation increases labor productivity and reduces energy consumption per unit (tonne, piece). It helps to save the natural environment. At the same time, full automation will significantly increase production capacity and meet the growing demand. In this way, the company also achieves the set financial goals - increase in turnover and profit. The project will also procure parts for bottling lines that will make the processes fully automatic, as well as a raw material dosing system with containers that will allow automatic dosing of raw materials during product mixing.

AS Chemi-Pharm received funding for the project "Improving the production of disinfectants through full automation".
Through the services provided by Enterprise Estonia, Chemi-Pharm joined the Estonian-Norwegian cooperation program "Green ICT". The project registration number is EU53922.

The budget of the project is € 461,970, of which the support paid through the cooperation program is € 207,886.50. The project eligibility period is 15.07.2020 to 30.06.2022.

During the project, a device will be procured, that will automatically dose the biocidal raw material in the product mixing process. In addition, parts of bottling lines are also procured to improve the production process by making bottling processes fully automatic. Upon implementation of the project, the efficiency of production will increase and the amount of CO2 emissions per unit of production will significantly decrease.
